FAQ’s

Frequently Asked Questions

Burst pipes, gas smells, overflowing drains, and no hot water are considered plumbing emergencies. Delaying response can lead to property damage, safety risks, or non-compliance with building codes. We offer 24/7 emergency plumbing services across Sydney.

While not mandatory, a plumbing inspection is highly recommended. It can uncover hidden leaks, outdated pipes, illegal connections, or drainage issues that could cost thousands to repair post-purchase. We offer pre-purchase inspections with reports and photos.

Absolutely. Licensed plumbers in NSW are qualified to install, repair, or replace both electric and gas hot water systems. They’ll also ensure compliance with pressure limits, tempering valves, and energy efficiency standards.

Yes—if your property has a risk of contaminating the public water supply (e.g. irrigation, commercial kitchens, medical facilities). Sydney Water requires certain properties to have approved backflow prevention devices installed and tested annually by licensed backflow plumbers.

Pipe relining is a modern, no-dig solution that can repair damaged pipes from the inside. It’s ideal for underground or hard-to-access areas, and often faster and more cost-effective than traditional pipe replacement. It’s fully compliant when done by certified professionals.

In Australia, licensed plumbers can also be licensed gas fitters, but not all plumbers are authorised to do gas work. Always check that your plumber is certified to handle gas connections, repairs, and installations safely and legally.

Yes. In NSW, any work that involves connecting to the mains water supply or drainage system must be done by a licensed plumber. DIY installation can lead to leaks or compliance issues—and may void insurance or warranties.

Costs typically range from $180 to $500+, depending on the location of the blockage and whether jet-blasting, CCTV inspections, or excavation are needed. We always offer upfront pricing before proceeding with any works.

Yes. Low water pressure can stem from blocked pipes, faulty valves, leaking lines, or corroded plumbing—especially in older buildings. A licensed plumber can assess the cause and provide solutions like pipe cleaning, valve replacements, or system upgrades.

Blocked drains are commonly caused by a buildup of hair, grease, food scraps, or foreign objects. In older Sydney homes, tree roots invading clay pipes are also a major issue. Regular maintenance, proper disposal habits, and professional inspections can help prevent recurring blockages.
